Armed with $75, I bought a Ricoh 35mm camera in 1994 and headed out to a local waterfall to learn about apertures and shutter speeds - my first assignment in Photography 101. After fumbling my way through developing the negatives, I headed to the darkroom and watched wide-eyed as one of my photos came up on paper. Pure magic! Hooked, I headed to Ohio University to finish my education in Photography Illustration, where I used view cameras and studio lighting to capture images destined for advertising.
For over 25 years, I’ve been chasing light, framing stories, and perfecting the art of visual storytelling. My commercial work spans product, portrait, and architectural photography—crafted both in the studio and out in the field. Along the way, I’ve partnered with brands like Target, Beats, and the Cleveland Guardians, visually expressing what makes each brand unique. My ongoing work with the Cleveland Guardians opened the door to the Professional Baseball Photographers’ Association, a community as selective as it is passionate about the game.
Careful consideration is taken researching the details of each project, to fully understand my clients’ vision. I find all projects enjoyable, and absolutely love to see great feedback! Some favorites are shown below.
